I’ve been through this at TV stations throughout Canada, as corporate bottom lines decimate the 5th Estate. Hard to believe that with a larger audience base and highly educated and dedicated employees, that a media outlet that made money in the past can no longer support itself. Begs the question. Maybe Kamloops needs to take a page from CHEK Victoria and go it alone. Their community support there has been outstanding. Good Luck to you all.

While papers all over are closing, some reports indicate that profits are actually way up. They’re just not in line with outrageously avaricious corporate benchmarks.
